24.04.18 | Das erste von zwei Ranglistenturnieren des DJB diesen Jahres für Männer und Frauen fand am 21. April in Bottrop statt. Von der Turngemeinde Münster gingen zwei Kämpfer an den Start. Malte Jansen belegte Platz Fünf in der Gewichtsklasse bis 90 kg und sammelte so Punkte für die Teilnahme an den Deutschen Meisterschaften 2019. Aus seinem Pool ging Jansen als Sieger hervor und zog in die Hauptrunde ein. Dort verpasste er allerdings den Einzug ins Finale und hatte auch im Kampf um Platz Drei das Nachsehen. Odai Mawarde konnte sich in der Klasse bis 81 kg nicht entscheidend durchsetzen und schied nach zwei Niederlagen vorzeitig aus.
